Air Force Space Training Analyst Job in Colorado Springs 80916, Colorado US

The focus of this position is the design, development and fielding of satellite and space training systems for the U.S. Air Force. Responsibilities will include working with the Air Force to obtain system documentation to support the development of advanced training simulations, working closely with the software team throughout the simulation development process to provide detailed subject matter knowledge on the command and control operations of satellite systems and/or space mission systems, hands-on testing and evaluation of training products, and drafting/reviewing documentation to support the training system development effort.  Will also provide knowledge of overall space operations, orbital mechanics and insight into training needs.

 

Qualifications include the following: 

•  At least eight years of Department of Defense space operations experience with recent experience as an instructor and curriculum developer in the area of space and satellite operations. 

•  Experience with operating multiple space/satellite systems.

•  Solid computer skills to include current operating systems (e.g., MS7) and Microsoft Office.

•  Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for government security clearance.

 

Pluses include the following:

•  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

•  Missile Defense and/or Space Surveillance Operations experience.
