Job ID: HITS03121054 Airborne Communications Subject Matter Expert - Scott AFB, IL - HITS03121054 Description: Airborne Communications Subject Matter Expert Job Code: HITS03121054 Job Description: * Responsible for research, analysis, development, integration and advice on new and enhanced/interoperable C2 aircraft communications requirements. * Prepare recommended requirements, program plans/initiatives, C2 architectures, and airborne communication roadmaps. Requirements documentations may include Modification Proposals, Capabilities Gaps, Capabilities Base Assessments (CBAs), Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), Capabilities Development Documents (CDDs), Mission Area Plans (MAPs), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), and other documents. * Prepare/review system specifications, safety/Operational Test and Evaluation (OTE) requirements. * Coordinate with customer components, industry, laboratories, joint forums, and acquisition/logistics centers. * Monitor the performance of Distinguished Visitor (DV) airborne communications and coordinate updates. * Provide presentation materials. * Coordinate an effective customer trouble reporting and feedback process. Qualifications: * Successful candidates will have a Bachelors degree and 5+ years relevant experience (or commensurate background and experience). Preferred Additional Skills: * Experience with Office of the Assistant Security of Defense (Network and Information Integration) (OASD (NII)) Senior Leader Command, Control and Communications System (SLC3S) Strategic Guidance. * Experience with airborne C2 communications requirements. * Experience with USTRANSCOM. * Previous experience supporting government and/or Department of Defense customers. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a U.S. Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
