Aircraft Refueler Mechanic (ARM)
Job Description
Perform heavy truck maintenance and repair on the nation’s largest, most diversified commercial aviation refueler fleet. The primary responsibility of the ARM is to diagnose and repair heavy truck chassis up fitted with aircraft fuel delivery systems in accordance with manufacturer and industry guidelines. Assist in the shop maintenance and/or production teams as needed.
Skills
· Assist lead mechanics in performing all aspects of heavy truck maintenance including but not limited to engine tune up, hydraulic and air brakes, steering, exhausts and electrical wiring
· Light metal fabrication
General Requirements
· Must have a comprehensive set of mechanic’s tools for heavy trucks
· Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
· Familiarity with machine shop and welding equipment
· Valid driver’s license
· Occasional travel required
· Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods
Minimum Training and Experience Required
· High school diploma or equivalent with three years of airport maintenance or related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Must possess, or be able to satisfy, FAA part 139 training requirements for lineman
