Short Description:
Plan, schedule, and manage the daily workflow of multiple client relationships. Maintain strong client relationships. Evaluate and recommend process improvements, resulting in better client service and cost reduction to State Street.
Detailed Description:
- Plan, schedule, and manage the production of interim / annual financial statements and daily workflow for multiple client relationships.
- Perform technical review of private equity fund, hedge fund and/or real estate fund financial statements in accordance with relevant GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Set individual and team targets and priorities; maintain high standards of client service; conduct performance appraisals and give feedback on individual and team performance.
- Ensure timely and accurate production of financial statements and related regulatory filings, as applicable, for each client relationship.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and State Street coworkers.
- Set clear client expectations and engage in pro-active communication with clients to meet and balance their expectations.
- Oversee the effective coordination of activities with other internal departments to ensure a seamless and coordinated client service delivery.
- Ensure all personnel are appropriately selected, thoroughly trained and given timely and complete performance evaluation feedback.
- Ensure all controls and procedures are adhered to as well as make recommendations for changes.
- Facilitate the successful start-up of new funds and conversion of new clients through proper planning and coordination.
- Ensure effective use of reporting system and makes recommendations for system enhancements.
- Remains informed of regulatory changes and new industry and competitor developments.
- Evaluate staffing needs while continually striving for greater efficiencies.
- Develop internal training classes with the training liaison.
- Perform other special projects or tasks as assigned, including staffing, managing progress, addressing questions and monitoring results of the project.
Education/Experience requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field plus strong related experience.
- Experience in line management and setting and reviewing performance goals.
- Experience with recruitment, retention and performance management of a team.
- Experience in managing team members and overall supervision of teams andclient deliverables.
- Strong computerskills – advanced knowledge of Microsoft office
- Strong analyticalskills
- Strongverbal and written communication skills
- Strong people management skills
- Strong time/ project management skills (ability to meet deadlines and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner).
