AIX Administrator for SAP Infrastructure Job in Washington 20043, District Of Columbia US

Experis is looking for a AIX Systems Admin for a long term contract position with one of our leading financial clients in Washington, DC.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
-7 + years of relevant experience as an AIX Administrator
-IBM AIX system administration certification
-TSM backup experience (Certification is a plus.)
-SAN storage experience (Certification is a plus.)
-Oracle DBA experience (Certification is a plus.)
-SAP experience (SAP Basis certification is a plus.)
-Experience and knowledge of UNIX shell scripting
-Familiarity with IBM p-Series enterprise servers including p6 and p7 series
-Familiarity with PowerVM virtualization including HMC, LPAR, SEA, and
-VIO configuration and management
-Good understanding of the AIX operating system including hardware, device driver functionality, kernel parameters, LVM and file systems, security, network and firewall, performance tuning of processor, memory, and I/O subsystems
-Familiarity with NIM server installation and management
-Good knowledge and experience in AIX System security including wrappers, SSH, Sudo, logging, auditing, and intrusion analysis
-Experience in managing external storage in SAN environment (EMC experience is a plus)
-Experience in High Availability such as HACMP, VCS, and Load Balancers
-Experience in Disaster Recovery setup and management including multiple data center operations and various failover architectures
-Relevant experience in use of ITIL processes including SLA, Change
-Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management
-Familiarity with ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 standard processes
-Relevant experience in IT security audits including SOX/ICFR compliance of critical financial systems

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-AIX systems administration, including sizing, installation, configuration, upgrades, patches, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
-Configuration and management of printing systems and mail systems Planning, installation, and management of third party software.
-Systems security management.
-Systems storage management.
-Systems backup, restoration, and recovery management.
-Daily monitoring and reporting of systems performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
-Daily monitoring and investigation of the system logs for unusual activities, errors, and warnings.
-Daily monitoring of backups.
-Database monitoring for usage capacity and performance.
-Production job monitoring for errors.
-Application of Support Packages as agreed by the organizations business stakeholders.
-Client copies and data refreshes as agreed by the organizations business stakeholders.
-Troubleshooting analysis of application problems within the Functional and Development streams.
-Application of AIX kernel upgrades.
-Application of Oracle DB upgrades.
-Hardware and software vendor relationship management.
-Maintain current and accurate documentation of systems configuration and operating procedures.
-Familiarity with and relevant experience in IT security audits and compliance.
-Familiarity with SLA, change, incident, and problem management.
-Familiarity with configuration management.
-Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
-Willingness to work on flexible working hours including non-business hours and weekends in 24x7 mission critical systems support environment.
