AIX Systems Administrator Job Description: OS Build Engineer Descriptions: 1. Server build activities - Load BAND images via Blade Logic utility or during traditional methods Jumpstart and kickstart. - Build out Linux, Solaris, and virtual environments (VM, Zones) - Acquisition of San luns and filer mounts - Configure and permission filesystems 2. MAC server activities (Move, Add, Change) - Installation of third party software when needed - Coordinate maintenance windows with clients and open appropriate Bank change records Requirements - Strong communication skills written and verbal - Team oriented individual - Basic knowledge of the OSI model and network skills - General knowledge of Datacenter operations and support - Strong knowledge of Sun, HP, and IBM hardware - Strong knowledge of LinuxSolarisAIXWindows operating Systems - Knowledge of NetApp, EMC, DMX, and Clarion Storage solutions - VCSSun cluster Experience - RedHat Cluster Experience - Active Directory knowledge " Quest/Vintella knowledge is a plus - NIS/NFS Experience - BladeLogic knowledge is a plus - Volume Manager (LVM/VXFS/ZFS) Experience Additional Job Info: Treasury Midrange Design Build are looking for a Unix Server Build/Post-Build engineer. They will be responsible for the core OS deployment and post-build configuration. We are looking for a self starting candidate with the desire to work within a dynamic team who can adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
