Equities Technology team at Investment Bank looking for Java Algo Developer to join their team.
This team is responsible for the development and maintenance of a low latency trading platform that caters to clients engaged in high-frequency trading for Equities, Options and Futures products globally.
The High Frequency Connectivity team are working on the next-generation trading platforms that provide sophisticated clients with a low-latency pathway to markets globally. Performance and capacity tuning are key elements. There is an ongoing effort to expand the high frequency market coverage across various asset classes.
Main Duties
* Implementation of features, bug fixes and enhancements within the low latency trading system and the supporting components
* Work closely with the business to gather requirements, design and implement new functionality and features as requested by clients of the system. This includes quants and traders.
* Contribute in optimising the performance, capacity, monitoring and maintenance model of the current platform.
* Participate in the ongoing innovation and design of the next generation platform.
* Collaborate with teams in Europe and Asia to maintain a global offering consistent with regional business requirements and standards.
* Work closely with other Connectivity teams to promote common design and implementation practices and reuse of technology.
Skills required:
* Prior experience in with high-frequency, low-latency systems required.
* Strong professional Core Java development experience.
* Knowledge of messaging and middleware frameworks a big plus.
* Professional experience working on a Unix/Linux.

Excellent academics are essential for this role - minimum 2.1 or higher from quality university or equivalent.
