Department: CIB Operational Risk Management (ORM)
Location: Birmingham, UK

Overview:

Deutsche Bank's CIB (Corporate Investment Bank) division comprises three businesses - Markets, Corporate Finance and Global Transaction Banking.

Within CIB, the ORM team is responsible for a variety of programs which support the full range of Sales Trading, coverage, advisory and banking businesses. Specifically, the team works closely with the front office COOs, Operational Risk Officers, Business Management and Control and Support groups to identify, review and assess inherent operational risk in the context of the existing control environment.

CIB in Birmingham is looking for an ALGO Analyst to join its established Front Office.

Key Responsibilities:

*Monitor the ongoing review of business controls for new Algos.
*Support the development of an ongoing Algo monitoring framework and implement
changes.
*Prepare input for the monthly Algo Trading Oversight Committee meetings.
*Deep dive on Algo Trading related events and lessons learned review.
*Support the OR (Operational Risk) Framework deliverables and development.
*Analyze Key Risk Indicator and Self Assessment movements.
*Report on OR capital drivers
*Support the relevant OR loss data
*To support Operational Risk teams in Frankfurt, London and Mumbai
Projects around operational risk and supervision, which entail refinement of existing
processes within Deutsche Bank.

You will possess:

*Must have strong academic background through relevant undergraduate studies
*MBA/ MSc in finance related subjects or Accounting background desirable
*Good understanding of Operational Risk standards and tools.
*Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
*Ability to work well under pressure always with a professional demeanour
*The ability to identify process efficiencies, suggest improvements and implement where
feasible.
*Experience of handling projects independently i.e. strong Project Management skills.
*Good analytical skills, high attention to detail, solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Proactive in terms business development and to effectively deliver projects.
*Able to work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizing multiple tasks,
and meeting strict deadlines.

The following will be considered a significant advantage:

*IT systems experience, i.e. creating reviewing technical specs required for system
implementation.
*A financial services background, prior work experience in sales and trading is a plus.
*Should be conversant with terminologies concepts relating to Front Office products
(e.g. Equities Trading, Foreign Exchange, Rates, Distressed Products, Emerging Markets,
Prime Brokerage, Commodities).
*Experience of working with Operational Risk KRI drivers, performance metrics, and
multiple data sets.
