Summary

Algorithmic Traders are part of the Quantitative Strategies Group (QSG), a cross-functional team that develops new ways to expand and improve Spot’s interaction with the capital markets. They possess a unique blend of technical competence, trading and risk management skill, mathematical creativity, and business acumen. This allows our algorithmic traders to add value to the group in many different situations.

Responsibilities

• Interface with traders and support with regard to Spot’s daily equity trading operations

• Monitor and improve strategy and execution performance

• Collaborate with traders and FEs to develop and innovate execution algorithms and predictive models

• Enhance and maintain the codebase of the equity trading systems

• Work with QA to ensure stable deployment of equity trading system software releases

• Contribute to and elevate the firm by bringing unique strengths and passions to work each day

Qualifications:

• Candidates with 2+ years experience in algorithmic trading

• Experience trading Equities and/or Equity Options is a plus

• General technical competency as well as proficiency in C++

• Understanding of statistics and mathematical modeling

• Desire to work in a team-orientated environment

• Personal passion for at least a few of the following: hardware excellence, software excellence, trading system design, trading operations, trading, financial analysis, the stock market, volatility modeling

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, and/or computer science is required

• Master's degree in mathematics, engineering and/or computer science is preferred
