ALM recruitment

Each ALM Manager will be a senior member of the ERM-ALM team that is responsible for a new ALM initiative to build and implement a state-of-the-art ALM infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of insurance industry experience, solid understanding of Life and/or PC insurance liabilities and a successful track record in project execution and team management.

Responsibilities:

•          Participate in the methodology development and implementation of multi-year asset and liability projections for GAAP, Stat/RBC, rating agency capitals and embedded values. 

•          Work closely with business units and consultants to build the insurance liability projection models, including modeling of insurance liability cash flows, compression of in-force data and reporting of accounting and economic risk metrics.

•          Guide insurance subsidiaries in their infrastructure development, and provide reviews and validation of their outputs.

Qualifications:

•          BA/BS in a quantitative discipline, finance or economics is required. Graduate degree preferred; Life or PC actuarial credential a plus.

•          5-7 years of insurance ALM experience at financial institutions or consulting firms.

•          3-5 years of experience in executing end-to-end complex quantitative projects.  

•          Strong development experience with at least one actuarial financial projection tool such as Prophet, Moses or Igloo.

•          Deep knowledge of Life and/or PC insurance products, Stat/GAAP accounting, and embedded value calculation. 

•          Excellent communication skills.

•          Result oriented, highly dependable and strong attention to details.

•          Ability to learn quickly and willing to work flexible hours to meet deadlines.

•          Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
