Altegris is in a very exciting growth phase and is searching for a talented and motivated Alternative Investment Research Writer to be an integral member of the Research and Investment Team. RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Alternative Investment Research Writer will work with the Research and Investment Team (within an Altegris registered investment advisory affiliate) to build our brand by raising awareness of the company's expertise, services, products and people, further enhancing our excellent reputation in the investment industry. Job responsibilities will include:

• Translating complicated alternative-investment concepts and data into concise, spirited, engaging narrative for numerous audiences, including high-net-worth investors, broker/dealers, registered investment advisers, wirehouses, and institutional investors
• Being the primary driver of the firm's thought-leadership efforts to conceptualize, organize and write impactful white papers and quarterly alternative-strategist commentary with provocative, original ideas that support the firm's premier position in the alternatives space
• Creating and editing other client-facing communications to promote the firm's investment capabilities, including investment commentaries, presentations, and other collateral
• Ensuring the firm's materials build the Altegris brand and drive market growth
• Creating and editing technical investment material, including graphs and charts

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• A background in hedge funds and/or managed futures
• 5+ years of alternative-investment experience in either research, investment due diligence, or investor relations
• 5+ years of experience writing material geared toward the alternative-investment industry
• Exceptional writing skills:
o Ability to write creatively with impeccable grammar, syntax and punctuation
o Verifiable ability to translate complex ideas into compelling, concise copy
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Strong project-management skills - ability to oversee projects from conception through completion
• Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
• A Bachelor's degree from a leading institution (Master's degree preferred)
