AME Advisory – Regional Director Hong Kong recruitment
AME’s Advisory division is at the forefront of commodity/industry consulting. Our clientele includes international mining companies, investment banks, private equity and the public sector. AME Advisory focuses on transactions and deals of significant value - working on transactions including IPOs, financing (debt/equity), marketing, pitches, due diligence and special situation assignments. The division is a very dynamic, interfacing with clients and the AME research division.
Job Description
We are seeking a Regional Director to join the division in the Hong Kong office. The role involves:
- Manage and undertake advisory transactions as a senior member of AME
- Help to originate new business and build lasting partnerships with our clients
- Being actively engaged in industry reviews and analysis within a sector such as: steel, iron ore, coal, gold or base metals
- Negotiations with clients – scope of work and contract terms
- Liaise with AME analysts to verify, corroborate all statements within our reports and gather the necessary data/sources
Requirements:
You must be able to balance your capabilities between relationship management and analysis. This is an outstanding global opportunity to significantly contribute to a fast growing firm whilst performing varied work. Remuneration is competitive with a structured and ‘available’ bonus package.
We hope you would have the following qualities:
- Minimum 6+ years with management and analytical experience gained from a well-regarded management consulting firm, accounting practise or lending bank (including IB).
- A genuine interest in working within the energy, mining and metals industry (direct industry experience is not vital)
- Assertive and confident presentation and negotiation skills associated with excellent verbal and writing skills
- Commercial minded approach and negotiating ability
- Mandarin (or working use of the language)

There is much potential for travel and work in our various offices – you will not be ‘siloed’ into a single city or region.
