Americas Liquidity Product Head recruitment

Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) comprises three businesses: Corporate Finance, Markets and Global Transaction Banking and includes regional coverage in the Bank's key growth areas.

The Product Management Team is seeking an Americas Liquidity Product Head to join their team in New York:

Summary:

• Ownership of Liquidity Product Set in the U.S. including: Concentration, Pooling, Sweeps and Netting. Act as centre of competency and knowledge repository for Liquidity Management in the U.S.
• Ensure products are appropriately represented in the market internally and externally
• Develop competitive and state of the art liquidity products for Deutsche Bank’s Cash Management Offerings.
• Support product set for both FI‘s and Corporates
• Provide product pricing guidelines and review pricing exceptions
• Develop Strategic Alliances with Investment providers to ensure a diverse choice of investment options for our clients
• Work with Treasury and ALM to insure products overall profitability and alleviate DB bank liquidity issues
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, compliance, legal requirements and DB policy guidelines
• Develop cross functional strategies and teams for completion of all projects
• Develop, motivate and manage staff

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership of Liquidity Product Set in the U.S. including: Concentration, Pooling, Sweeps and support Autobahn Treasury:

• Act as centre of competency and knowledge repository for Liquidity Management in the U.S.
• Keep informed and communicate internally on issues, new products and ideas that affect the Liquidity Management
• Be aware of global issues that affect the U.S. product set and work with the Global team to complete global assignments

Ensure products are appropriately represented in the market internally and externally:

• Prepare Collateral Material for each product set and review with Marketing
• Prepare Sales Presentation Template for sales to use as a guide for sales meetings and presentations
• Make presentations at industry events and within our own internal client forums
• Promote new product offerings to the public and promote DB as the premier Liquidity Management bank in the US and globally
• Support Sales in client presentations and RFP’s

Support product set for GTB including FI‘s, Corporates and TSS where required:

• Develop strategic product plans that define the market and product strategy
• Customize presentations for both general client types
• Review legal documentation and processes. Develop streamlined legal documentation for FI and Corporates. Produce documentation independent of each other where required and create standard documentation where applicable
• Promote and execute “Quality” throughout the Liquidity product set

Develop competitive and state of the art liquidity products for Deutsche Bank’s Cash Management Offerings:

• Develop new state of the art products and features including: Pooling, investments sweeps, concentration both global and local
• Manage and complete New Product Approval processes as per Deutsche Banks standards
• Work proactively with Sales to develop market requirements for Liquidity Management solutions.
• Manage the budget process for new product delivery
• Understand and manage the cost benefit of new and existing products
• Meet with sales and discuss client requests and supply and review RFP material for effective client solution and to identify new opportunities
• Review competitive landscape, analyse competition and benchmark products
• Provide appropriate training to all regions (Europe, Asia and U.S.) for FI/Corporate sales and Client support on the U.S. product set
• Focus on process improvements and process automation to support STP
• Work closely with Operations and IT in the maintenance and improvement of existing systems. Identify opportunities for streamlining system processes and expenses as they relate to new product development or operating efficiencies.

Financial knowledge, risk analysis and cost management:

• Provide product pricing guidelines and review pricing exceptions
• Work with Operations and It to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains
• Analyse product profitability and expense ratios in order to maximise margins
• Identify product risks at an institutional level as well as at a client level
• Develop products that increase the profitability of the bank
• Support the regions PL

Develop Strategic Alliances with Investment providers to ensure a diverse choice of investment options for our clients:

• Secure relationships with Investment providers both internally and externally
• Expand our relationship with DB Asset Management
• Work with Global Markets to manage our CP and Direct placement products
• Work with CMTS to ensure ABT and the Liquidity information and products are represented
• Review options to increase investment choices for our sweep products
• Develop relationships with Liquidity Management expertise/consultants in the industry

Work with Treasury and ALM to insure products overall profitability and alleviate any bank liquidity issues:

• Increase choices of off balance sheet sweep/investment options
• Work with Treasury to understand financial impact of GCM products on the balance sheet, and the management of intra-day liquidity in the US.
• Evaluate and support the CP Product and the management of the core balance investment position
• Assist in the review of core balances and provide information to allow for improved estimations of the balances

Ensure compliance with regulatory issues, compliance and legal requirements and DB policy guidelines:

• Meet with Risk, Compliance and Legal on a regular basis to ensure product compliance
• Ensure that the product set has the necessary level of documentation and that clients are completing the documentation process correctly. Coordinate with Implementation.
• Keep abreast of global issues
• Review and update management on any Federal regulation updates that affect the Liquidity product set especially current Federal and Global regulation

Develop, motivate and manage staff:

• Team building within the product group and support team building in the regions and globally
• Ensure cross-Product awareness and efficient working relationships
• Coaching, including both positive and negative feedback
• Motivation recognition including salary/bonus review
