AML Advisor

One of the big 4 consultancies has an excellent opening within their Financial Crime Compliance team for an AML advisor.

The key focus of the role is to act as a first point of contact in the AML Regulatory Team with regard to all money laundering queries, whilst escalating those queries that are of a complex nature to the AML Manager/Head of AML Regulatory Team.

In addition the role holder will assist in dealing with internal reports of money laundering suspicions, received by the MLRO. The role holder is responsible for managing their own workload in consultation with the AML Manager

Responsibilities;

ADVISING

Answering queries received by the AML Regulatory Team in relation to the application of the firm's AML policy, in particular those relating to client identification. The role holder will be the first point of contact in the AML Team with regard to all money laundering queries.
Escalating any queries to the AML Manager/Head of AML Regulatory Team as appropriate.

REPORTING

Assisting in dealing with internal reports of money laundering suspicions received by the MLRO.
Initially investigating internal reports received by the MLRO, along with other members of the AML Regulatory Team, under the supervision of the AML Manager/Head of AML Regulatory Team.

MONITORING

Assisting the AML Manager in monitoring the firm's compliance with AML systems and controls.
This will involve the analysis of data and the drafting of reports.

AD HOC PROJECTS

Taking up opportunities to work on projects, both within the AML Regulatory Team and across the wider department and RQ community.

The role will pay between £25-40,000 and offers an excellent opportunity to join a global regulatory consultancy, working alongside some of the most talented compliance specialist in the industry.

For this role it is essential that you have AML experience - matching the above responsibilities gained within an FCA regulated company. You should be educated to degree level, ideally gaining at least a 2:1, although this is not an essential criteria.
