AML Compliance Associate

Position Description

The Legal and Compliance Department's UK AML Group, which is based in London, is charged with day-to-day oversight and coordination of the AML and Sanctions Program covering all businesses including Institutional Sales and Trading, Private Wealth Management Business, Investment Banking and Investment Management across the EMEA region. A need has arisen for an individual to provide support to the existing AML team.

• Review output of sanctions screening of payments and securities reports and take appropriate action.
• Review negative media alerts from RDC for high and medium risk clients.
• Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence for higher risk customers and intermediaries including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
• Perform quarterly and annual review of all PEPs.
• Review and investigate alerts from the transaction monitoring system and provide a disposition.
• Assist with other ad-hoc tasks required by the Head of EMEA AML.

Skills Required

• AML/KYC Business As Usual AML Compliance knowledge is required within financial services.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work well under pressure during tight deadlines.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Degree educated or equivalent.
