AML Compliance Officer – PART TIME (International Law Firm) recruitment

This is a rare opportunity arising as a result of a business expansion and increased regulatory awareness.  Our client is looking for an experienced candidate to carry out various due diligence duties for their growing business

The Role

Reporting to the Manager, you will be fully responsible for:

• Assessing risk profile of new and existing clients
• Conducting client due diligence required for AML compliance purposes
• Ascertaining the suitability of a client for the firm in accordance to the regul
tory and commercial standards
• Liaising with partners and lawyers in the firm to escalate any compliance related issues
• Working closely with other teams to ensure responsiveness from the Clearance Centre to the Partners and clients.

The Successful Applicant

You will be a University Graduate holding a degree in law and/or economics preferred with at least 3-4 years experience gained within an AML compliance function.  You will possess sound knowledge of Hong Kong and regional compliance and regulatory laws and have strong communication, analytical and leadership skills. Hands on experience with international law practice will be an advantage.  Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken is essential.
