AML Compliance Officer

EMEA Anti-Money Laundering Compliance (AMLC) is responsible for coordinating the anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and sanction programs for UBS throughout the region. The team helps to provide the firm with the necessary tools to help prevent the use of UBS’s facilities for money laundering, terrorist financing or for violating economic sanction laws, as well as preventing bribery.

An opportunity has arisen to fill a full time role within AML Compliance in EMEA with a focus on a number of areas within the AML, Sanctions and Anti-Bribery Corruption Programs. This will include:

Executing the enterprise-wide AML Risk Assessment in EMEA;
Assisting with the day to day oversight of the Wealth Management offices in EMEA, ex-Switzerland;
Carrying out site visits as required;
Providing day to day support to the Wealth Management AMLC team in the UK;

Good organisational and project management skills in order to manage a number of different tasks and meeting competing deadlines
Ability to work under pressure
Reliable, self-motivated
Good written and oral communications skills
Ability to communicate at both detailed and concise levels
Attention to detail
Work collaboratively, be prepared to take on a supportive role where required and fill for others at short notice
Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with key stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in the AML field and a good knowledge of AML regulations and practices. A compliance, consultant or risk assessment background would be beneficial as well as a solid grasp of Private Banking.
