Purpose of the Role
- This role is to cover and support the Quality Management area of AML Operations Asia in Singapore
- The primary purpose of this role is to cover and perform Quality Assurance / Management work across AML Operations Asia and with respective functional lines to AML Compliance and AML Operations central team especially with Global Quality Management (GQM) team.
- AML Operations Asia is a critical operational component in support of the Bank’s AML regulatory and legal requirements, via the Regional Due Diligence Management (RDDM) team, the Regional Transaction Surveillance Centre, and the Quality Management team in Singapore.
- The work and output from the Quality Assurance team provides for the assurance and confidence in the quality of the operational work across AML Operations Asia
- To identify any issues and shortfalls that are deficient of the Bank’s AML policy and standards and the AML Operations standards and procedures
- To be aligned and to be uniform in the Global and Regional Quality Assurance standards and processes
- Provision of assurance to the management on the quality of the output from AML Operations Asia
Activities
- Plan, perform, and report on the periodic/monthly Quality Assurance work coverage
- Support the development and implementation of regional/global Quality Management initiatives
- Support and work on other assurance related streams and works within the coverage of Regional Quality Management
- Any other duties as assigned by Head of department as required

Key Deliverables
- The QA Officer is responsible to accurately reflect all findings in QA reports and submit the reports to Management in a timely manner.
- The QA Officer will make appropriate recommendations to address QA findings.
- The QA Officer is responsible to escalate critical findings immediately should there be a regulatory breach.
Scope of Role
- The QA Officer is responsible to ensure that all QA reviews are conducted in a timely manner.
- The QA Officer needs to decide on the severity of the findings and take further actions as appropriate. If in doubt, the views from the Head of Department must be consulted.
- The QA Officer is responsible to recommend suitable trainings for the department based on the QA review results.
- Previous work experience is preferred
- AML and KYC experience is essential
- Analytical skills
- Eye for detail, high accuracy of work, ability to work with minimum supervision
- Computer literate in MS Office applications
