About Our Client
Our client is a global bank who is rapidly expanding its worldwide presence and established itself as a global force in recent years. Among its plans would be to focus its expansion in Asia.
Job Description
Requirements would include :
- Working with the HQ AML team to implement global AML initiatives and to ensure consistent global approach for global AML activities.
- Administering and implementing established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with group policies principles as well as local AML regulatory requirements.
- Providing sound advisory on matters in relation to all AML matters;
- Escalating issues identified in the AML processes and providing practical solutions to the businesses;
- Driving on-going due diligence processes for client accounts;
- Keeping abreast with changes to regulatory requirements for AML and communicating the changes internally with a view to ensuring established policies, procedures and processes are in compliance with new requirements.
The Successful Applicant
Suitable candidates will have experience gained within retail banking, a sound understanding of financial markets and the ability to maintain and enhance productive relationships with staff and regulators.
In addition, you will also have:
- 2-5 years of AML experience in key Asian jurisdictions;
- Willingness to take on a diverse product range and to leverage personal experience and skills into new areas;
- Outstanding communication skills;
- Commercial astuteness;
- Ability to work independently, determine priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent proficiency in Mandarin is a must
