Analyst – Financial Risk recruitment

Role Overview: This position is located in the Financial Risk Group and may assist with risk policy, portfolio management, investments and performance analytics.  Analysts assist their team to develop and deliver on corporate priorities in their area of work. Analysts in this Group will work to support risk management activity associated with managing the Australian Government’s debt portfolio and associated financial assets or associated with investing in and managing asset portfolios. This will involve quantitative and qualitative analysis involving the application of various tools including modern portfolio theory.

There is an immediate need for assistance in the Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) team and the successful candidate will be placed there in the first instance.

Qualifications: Degree qualification in finance, applied mathematics, or a related discipline. Honours level or postgraduate qualifications would be well regarded.

Experience: Knowledge of the Australian capital markets and risk management techniques, including those relevant to sovereign debt management. Experience in securitisation would be particularly well regarded.
