THE ROLE

To work as part of the Asset Management Team:-

Primarily:

• Supporting Analysts in;

o    analysing and valuing existing projects and future opportunities; and

o    identifying and realising asset value enhancement opportunities both for individual projects and for the portfolio as a whole.

• Completing Investment Reviews of projects within the company’s portfolios

And from time to time :

• Supporting secondary market transactions (acquisition and disposal), including Project Company refinancing

Professional Training:

It is expected that within 12 months of joining the team, the successful candidate will commence some form of professional training and qualification.  This would usually be to undertake the CFA qualification (Chartered Financial Analyst) but other relevant qualifications will be considered on merit.

Responsible for:

• Evaluating PFI/infrastructure assets (valuation, performance and financial projections)

• Valuing investments, modelling and calculating investment and portfolio performance

• Origination and delivery of value enhancements on projects and the portfolio

• Reviewing and reporting of the  performance of existing investments

• Providing support for primary and secondary market transactions

• Various and varied ad hoc analysis, including refinancing and transaction support

THE CANDIDATE

As this will be a much sought-after position, we must insist on candidates possessing ALL of the following attributes if they wish to apply:

• Degree (at least 2:1) in Maths/Physics/Engineering from a leading University

• Year of graduation NO EARLIER than 2011

• STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF MICROSOFT EXCEL

• An appreciation of what financial modelling is

• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
