My client is a top performing investment manager which is renowned for the quality of it's research teams. They have global coverage and have a presence in the UK, US and APAC.
Duties involve fundamentally researching and analysing companies and industries with a view to identifying outstanding value-orientated investment opportunities, including bottom up research of companies and sectors, financial modelling, and holding meetings with senior management. Personal advancement is based on investment performance.
Applicants must be bilingual in English and Japanese (to business level), and ideally have around 2-4 years experience of covering Japanese stocks for an asset manager, hedge fund or investment bank. We could also consider applicants with the required language skills who are looking to move into investment management, perhaps from an accounting or investment banking background.
Academically we are looking for people who can demonstrate consistent achievement of excellence, so a top degree from a good university is a must with an MBA and/or CFA qualification highly preferable.
