Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) is the asset management unit of the Norwegian Central Bank, responsible for managing the Norwegian Government’s Pension Fund and Foreign Exchange Reserves. NBIM’s portfolios are valued at more than NOK 3,900 billion (approx. US$700 billion) and are invested in international equity, fixed income and real estate markets. NBIM is seeking a dedicated and results oriented professional with deep knowledge of financial theory to further strengthen the External Strategies group.

The External Strategies group is part of the Allocation Strategies department.  Allocation Strategies manages the Fund’s overall exposure towards asset classes and risk factors. The department consists of four groups with dedicated portfolio managers, investment analysts, and researchers.

External Strategies is responsible for the selection and monitoring of external managers. The mandates are mainly country specific specialist mandates, in markets which require a high level of expertise and local knowledge.

Your role will be to develop and run analysis for use in the evaluation of external managers.

The position is located in New York and extensive travel will be required.
