Analyst - FMA/Research
Role overview:
Our client is looking for a junior analyst to join the fund manager's team and assist with a range of fund research and FMA duties. The candidate will be reporting to all the FMs on a rotational basis giving the candidate the chance to learn the methods of all the very successful FMs, The team focuses on long-only equity and have proven their experience from past and current performance making them specialists in the field. Their fund range is very diverse and will offer the right candidate a large set of skills and knowledge.
The Role:
- Daily monitoring of Fund cash position.
- Weekly tracking of benchmark indices.
- Maintain and document procedures.
- Co-ordinate administrative tasks for Fund Managers.
- Attend team meetings and chase action points.
- Raise, test and sign off small changes to systems.
- Working closely with Front Office Systems Support, EUC, and Data Management Teams
Reporting. - Preparation of monthly and quarterly client reports for the Internal Funds.
- Monitoring of funds against their investment management agreements/guidelines.
The Candidate:
- Degree educated in a financial based subject OR equivalent.
- Ideally CFA level 1.
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of equities a must.
- Research experience.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
