Macquarie's business is structured into six operating groups and four support groups. CAF is one of the largest operating groups.

CAF

CAF engages Macquarie Bank Limited's balance sheet to provide tailored finance and asset management solutions. The Group operates across 60 offices, services clients in over 40 countries and manages more than $A22 billion of funded assets at 31 March 2013. CAF structures and manages a large variety of asset-based deals across a range of collaterals, including aviation, rail, energy metering, IT office, telecommunications, medical and manufacturing equipment, and motor vehicles.

Business Development

The CAF Business Development team is the internal MA and strategy team within CAF, focusing on a range of activities, including company and lease portfolio acquisitions, joint ventures, new business opportunities and new asset classes, as well as providing support to CAF's leasing businesses for various strategic initiatives. The team's primary mandate is to source and execute 'buy and hold' acquisitions. Since 2007 CAF has completed acquisitions of businesses and asset portfolios with total asset values of over $A10 billion.

The Business Development team is located in Sydney (headquarters), New York and London.  Each office functions as a regional hub, with regular cross border support provided on a variety of projects.  The team report directly to the head of CAF.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small team in London within a successful global team which supports the growing CAF business.  You will get exposure to many aspects of MA, principal investment-type transactions and strategic initiatives focussed on the UK and Europe.
