Analyst – Asset Based Health Claims & Collections

Join a post-start-up asset based investment fund founded by two veterans of asset based hedge funds as the firm builds out their investment team. Responsibilities With your knowledge of health insurance receivables and expertise in the specialized areas of:
- Workers Compensation (with emphasis in California and New York State claims),
- No-Fault Insurance,
- Personal Injury and
- Major Medical, Medicare and Medicaid
- Analyze and characterize a receivables portfolio and make buy/pass/monitor recommendations to the firm's portfolio managers
- Manage all aspects of purchased portfolios including out-sourcing / in-sourcing strategies that will produce the optimal collections
- Propose other asset backed health claims related categories that the firm can consider investing in
Requirements
- Smart, hard working, results-oriented, high integrity. While in general, more education is better, the focus is on results so results can substitute for education.
- Expert knowledge with analyzing and collecting receivables in the above areas and states OR other knowledge that can be used to learn these areas quickly.
- Expert at management and analysis of large amounts of data by using excel at a very high level to include statistics, pivot tables and macros.
- Habit of constantly delivering beyond experimentation.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT codes.
Family friendly culture with work hours of 8am to 5pm and work from home on Fridays. The emphasis is on results not face time.
