Corporate Financial Services (CFS) is part of the Business and Private Banking (BPB) business unit of the Commonwealth Bank. The CFS team serves over 12,000 clients with complex financial needs and over $10m in revenue. The division is well placed to provide medium and large companies with access to a wide range of financial services with approximately 800 professionals in nearly 50 locations across Australia.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Within the Business Private Bank (BPB) Division of the Commonwealth Bank, our Corporate Capital Markets Advisory (CCMA) team within Corporate Financial Services (CFS), is looking for a Analyst, Corporate Capital Markets Advisory, to join our busy and expanding team. The Analyst role is a highlyimportant and analytical front office role.
This pivotal, and outstanding role will be based in the Sydney CBD, and will be responsible for supporting Executive Managers and Executives (Directors) originate and execute transactions for both existing clients and new to bank opportunities.
DUTIES:
It is anticipated that you will work across all three services provided by CCMA i.e. Debt, Equity Capital Markets and Transition Services;
- Assisting in the preparation of pitch documents
- Assisting in the preparation of client workshops
- Financial analysis/financial modelling
- Preparation of internal approvals for debt and equity opportunities
- Transaction process management and post transaction credit management
- You will produce high quality presentation materials, industry research and portfolio analysis to identify transaction opportunities for the business
- The role requires a passionate, professional and performance driven candidate, with a CAN do attitude, who will think outside the square and who is focused on leading businesses to tomorrow.
- It is critical that you develop, maintain and manage strong working relationships with business partners and peers to achieve our growth objectives as well as understanding and meeting business and client needs.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrate experience working with Mid-Market corporates either within a Leveraged/Acquisition Finance and/or MA/Corporate Advisory teams.
- You will have a strong risk management understanding
- You have a strong understanding of Equity Capital Markets and an understanding of MA processes.
- Have strong financial modelling skills from your deal experience
- Have strong credit/financial analysis experience/skills
- You will have an ability to build lasting business relationships
- You will have outstanding vision and values, and will have the energy, to help drive the team to achieve outstanding business and customer service results.
You have a strong analytical approach and your ability to engage key stakeholders across various segments of a Banking organisation is first class. You will have strong commercial acumen; strong risk management/credit understanding; have forward thinking ideas; have great organisation and planning skills that combine with your strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, to go along with your strong financial modelling skills and potentially experience within MA and/or Equity Capital Markets. Additionally you will have a high level of accountability, initiative, enthusiasm and you must have a high level of integrity and be a committed team player. Ideally you will have a relevant Business degree.
