Analyst / Associate, Oil & Gas, Strategic Client Coverage Group recruitment

Key Roles Responsibilities

* Support senior staff on SCCG transaction origination and execution
* Financial modeling, particularly for DCF and LBO transactions
* Sector and client research, particularly in terms of market and company comparable analysis
* Preparation and presentation of information memoranda, pitch books, presentations, prospectuses, fairness opinions (including valuation) and other forms of reports - performed under the supervision of Directors
* Assist Directors / Associate Directors in structuring transactions
* Collect, review and analyse financial and other information from multiple market data sources including Bloomberg, Factset and Thomson Reuters
* Carry out due diligence under the supervision of Directors / Associate Directors

Qualifications Skills

* Candidates should have a Bachelors/Masters/CPA degree from a good university and grades placing him / her in the top 10 percentile. Ideally previous experience in investment banking / appropriate industry sector

* Highly motivated individuals with a strong record of achievement in academics and/or summer/full time employment in corporate finance

* Superior analytical aptitude, creative problem solving abilities and basic accounting skills

* Key skills (that they already have or would need to develop within a short time span) including:
i. Strong ability with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel Word and PowerPoint,
ii. Generate prospectuses/ information memoranda/ investment teasers/ pitch books;
iii. General industry/ country/ company research;
iv. Ability to perform Discounted Cash Flow and other forms of valuation

* Quality, time lines and accuracy of output

* Teamwork / inter-personal / communication skills
* Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word and MS PPT

* Internal and external perception

* High initiative

* Strong attention to details ensuring error free work product

* Capable of multi-tasking and working under tight deadlines to produced timely and quality work (eg information memoranda, pitch books, presentations, prospectuses etc)

* Adherence to SCB values
