Overview:
Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) comprises three businesses: Corporate Finance, Markets and Global Transaction Banking (GTB) and includes regional coverage in the Bank's key growth areas.
CIB Markets is looking to hire suitable candidates for the Convertibles Trading team in Birmingham.
Convertible Bond Trading is a globally distinct business with a leading market making and research franchise, reflected by consistently top tier rankings in client driven reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
*You will prepare corporate profiles and analyze the credit and fundamentals of companies.
*You will track credit quality and ratings of companies.
*You will monitor macro factors and company specific events which might impact the price of the Convertible securities.
*You will generate trading ideas and strategies based on fundamental analysis.
*You will communicate research/market updates and trade ideas on Convertibles to Clients and Sales teams.

You will have:
*Accounting or corporate finance knowledge (preferred) with the ability to perform analysis of company accounts.
*Proficiency in Excel.
*Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) knowledge (advantageous).
*The ability to condense detailed information and concepts into clear and concise summaries.
*Good written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to discuss your work with colleagues and clients.
*The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision when required.
*Degree Educated (or the relevant international equivalent).
*Knowledge of financial products and markets acquired through educational training or courses like Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (advantageous).
