Analyst Corporate Development – London NW1 recruitment

It employs approximately 17,000 employees globally, of which 11,000 are UK based. We are a looking for a Corporate Development Analyst who will assist in strategy development and merger and acquisition (MA) projects. 

This role will involve desktop research on markets, clients and competitors; strategic and financial analyses; and presentation and report production for decision-making at the group executive and Board level.  Accordingly, there will be a periodic requirement for flexibility in working hours.

This role will report to the Global Director of Corporate Development. 

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree from a leading university

• Strong skills and experience in market research, competitor and client profiling including:

o        Analyses of operational and financial performance;

o        Synthesis of quantitative and qualitative material from divergent data   sources;

o        Cross check analyses of external and internal subject matter expertise;

o        Preparation of strategic analyses using standard frameworks – 5-forces, growth/share, prepare pro forma financial analyses

• Ability to learn new skills quickly and a drive to deliver quality

• Strong communication skills, verbal, written and graphic/presentation

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels in the business, customers, technical through to senior management

• Highly organised and able to prioritise activities with conflicting demands

• Ability to work as part of a team in a multi-discipline and non-hierarchical environment

• Flexibility with respect to working hours

• Open to travel

Candidate background

Candidates are likely to have a background as follows:

• strategy analysts from other businesses

• strategy consultants or investment bankers looking to make a move into a corporate development role

• financial services experience is useful although not essential

• current or planned commercial MBA

• a period of relevant experience since graduating from a leading university
