Job Description – Analyst
This posting is for an analyst position in FirstEnergy’s London Corporate Finance group to commence in March 2012.
The role of an analyst is challenging and fast-paced. It requires dedication, passion for the industry and a solid work ethic. Energy specific experience is not a requirement but would be considered an asset. Graduates with 1-2 years experience in a corporate finance, corporate broking or investment banking environment would be preferred.
Specific duties and responsibilities of an analyst include:
- financial modeling and analysis
- quantitative and qualitative data analysis and industry research
- due diligence investigations
- presentation preparation
- database management
- data gathering and other transaction related support work
Skills/Experience Required:
- undergraduate degree in a numerate subject
- proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities
- strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, Bloomberg, Thomson One and other financial data services
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- problem solving skills
- exceptional quantitative skills focused on financial analysis and accounting
- personal integrity and teamwork
- outstanding attitude, keen to learn new concepts and ability to quickly adapt to new situations
