Analyst Developer – Oracle for Global Bank (6 months contract) recruitment
Main Function
The main job function of this role is application development using primarily Oracle technologies.
The candidate is expected to enhance existing Regulatory Reporting applications and develop new requirements on the strategic architecture where applicable
Main Duties
The candidate will be working within a project to:
- Document functional specifications and technical designs
- Propose technical solutions to business
- Code / and or perform code reviews
- Create test plans and perform testing for your development
- Support Systems Integration Testing, Regression Testing and User Acceptance Testing
- Support go-live implementation
- Provide third level support once application is live
Person Requirements
Qualification / Education (Required)
- Degree level (computer science, numerate or financial related)
Qualification / Education (Preferred)
- Post graduate degree level or computer science related degree
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of application development experience
- Good understanding of Finance environment is a plus
Technical Skills (Essential)
- Experience in developing applications on Oracle
- Familiar with SQL, Oracle PL/SQL and database design
- Familiar with BI tools e.g. Business Objects
Technical Skills (Preferred)
-Knowledge of Unix (preferably SOLARIS) / Linux
- Familiar with scheduling management technologies e.g. Autosys, Control M
- Familiar with software configuration management (SCM) technologies e.g. Clearcase / Perforce
- Familiar with database performance tuning
- Perl scripting
- Previous experience working for investment bank
