Analyst – Emerging Markets Structured Credit & Rates Product Controller recruitment
The Emerging Markets business is split into Rates (interest rate and foreign exchange products) and Credit (credit derivatives and financing products) and also split geographically (Latin America, Eastern Europe/Middle East/Africa (“EEMEA”) and Asia Pacific). The EEMEA Structured Credit Rates businesses are centred in London, and cover a very wide spectrum of products ranging from single name Credit Linked Notes, IR range accruals, Credit and Rates indices, Correlation products and exotic/hybrid structured products.
The role includes:
- Daily profit and loss reporting with explain, commentary and balance sheet substantiation; and
- Daily ad hoc support - acting as a support to front office and infrastructure partners; and
- Structured Transaction Reviews - involves confirming bookings, valuations and reserving of new structured transactions; and
- Valuations and reserving - involves calculation of appropriate reserves on a monthly basis, developing new reserve methodologies for existing and new trades and Rates price testing; and
- Project based work around business expansion, strategic infrastructure developments and process/control enhancements
Key interactions will be with traders on the EM Structured desk based in London, the wider Product Control Group, Middle Office, Market Risk, Operations and Technology. These interactions will cover the range of daily, weekly and monthly reporting communications as well as project work and ad hoc queries.
Person Requirements
-Degree (2.1 or above) or equivalent
-Previous experience of working in or closely with Product Control
-Previous exposure to derivative products, preferably Credit and/or Rates derivatives
-Previous banking experience in a front office facing role
