Job Description:

The Convertible and Equity-linked Solutions Group, within the Equity Capital Markets group of Global Banking, focuses on the structuring and originating of a wide range of corporate equity derivative products, including convertible debt, mandatory convertibles, hedging/monetization of equity stakes and share repurchases.  The solutions posed are often uniquely structured and meant to address clients' specific objectives with respect to economic payoff, capital structure, accounting treatment, tax objectives, and credit ratings, among others.

 
Specific functions for an analyst will include valuation of convertible and option securities (using internal option valuation models), preparation of client marketing materials, transaction execution, coordinating with industry coverage bankers and sales/traders, as well as general support for senior group members.

 

Over time, successful analysts will develop a thorough understanding of debt, equity and derivative products and markets, and a deep knowledge of related legal, regulatory, accounting and tax directives.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Finance

Highly motivated with a strong willingness to learn and take on new challenges

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (familiarity with Microsoft Access and Bloomberg preferred, but not required)

Comfortable with the basic mathematical concepts of finance, including time value of money, bond math, interest rates, and option payoffs (familiarity with the mathematics behind option valuation theory is not required)

Possess superior communication skills (written and verbal) with strict attention to detail
