Our Melbourne based finance team is looking for an Analyst and Senior Analyst to join them. The Analyst and Senior Analyst work as key members of the team, with scope including decision support, simplification, financial management and governance, working closely with internal clients to assist in the delivery of simplification and continuous improvement of business systems, processes and practices.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Support the divisional Head of Finance - Advisory by identifying areas where the business can improve performance, achieve its objectives and mitigate risks
• Create non standard financial analysis and present trends
• Provide financial analysis using internal and external information and data
• Execution of simplification projects and implementation of best practice within the Finance function
• Provide analytical support on an as needed basis for strategic activities
• Support the Finance Manager in budget preparation and reforecasts for their review
The successful applicant will have:
• Tertiary qualification in Finance/Business and professional accountancy qualification (CPA/ACA/CIMA) completed (Senior Analyst) or very near completion (Analyst)
• Experience working in a finance function with practical accounting experience in a commercial environment
• Good business knowledge and commercial acumen is essential
• Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel (advanced macro skills) and understanding of reporting packages
• Positive, team playing attitude
