Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis

Job Description This candidate will be responsible for budgeting, planning, forecasting, and analysis of financial information. This individual must demonstrate a strong attention to detail, organize figures and thoughts into a thorough, accurate and clear summary and then effectively communicate the information in a timely manner. Further, this individual should be self motivated and be able to work both independently and as a contributing member of the team to meet team, department, and company goals. Positions Responsibilities: Coordinate and prepare a large aspect of budgeting and planning Prepare re-forecasted financial plans monthly or as required by management Interface with managers to gather data and review results and update forecasts monthly Research and document monthly variance analysis Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year- end financials Produce monthly, quarterly, and year- end reports highlighting the trends and variances based on the budget and forecast Prepare fixed asset recognition and depreciation entries Actuals data processing and manipulations Work with Cognos to reflect the budget and monthly forecasts Perform lease file uploads Assist with ad hoc reporting and data analysis Prepare accruals, reconciliations, adjusting and correcting entries Review and analyze request for proposals and contracts Manage costs and capital acquisition process Prove detail accounts to control accounts that affect the department Interface with the auditors when necessary Other financial, accounting, special functions as needed Skills and Abilities: - Strong analytical, interpersonal, follow-through, attention to detail and organizational skills - Strong accounting and financial analysis skills - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others - Excellent communication skills, written and verbal - Self starter and possess multi-tasking and time management skills - Ability to understand and work within a complex technology environment - Approaches work in a methodical fact-based manner - Ability to interact with technical staff across multiple systems and disciplines along with the ability to work with all levels within the organization, (staff to executive.) Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, plus 2+ years of directly-related experience
