Your tasks: One of the keys of our financial success in Europe is our Market Financial Analysis Group. This group is managed by a small, highly motivated management team reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, working together with each of Mazda’s 23 national sales companies within Europe. To gain a solid business foundation for an automotive business career, you will become highly trained at analysis of the market, of product sales, of profit performance and of business cases, interfacing with 2-3 European national sales companies. Directly interfacing with the local Finance Directors of the national sales companies, you analyze market and performance trends, assess business risks and opportunities and support strategy development on pricing or product proposals for immediate deployment. In addition you help the CFO and the corporate headquarters in Japan understand the critical issues facing your market, its financial forecast, which you lead, and its business proposals. By being analytical, strategic, business minded and team oriented, you will help your national sales company to succeed in achieving its business objectives.
Your profile: Your personal development will be a priority for the management team, most of whom have developed their careers within the Mazda family. You have a degree in a business-related subject, and ideally relevant work experience. You are a highly analytical, critical thinker who is naturally interested in business and strategy. You are very motivated to achieve and perform well in a position that allows for considerable freedom to direct your own business analysis and proposals. You have strong interpersonal skills and can be persuasive in advancing your findings and presenting business proposals. You have good Excel skills. You desire a career in a global company with a very international focus to your work. Your workplace will be in our European Headquarters, near Cologne. You are fluent in written and spoken English; any other European language is an asset.
