The Role
Global Liquidity is the short-term investment division of J.P. Morgan Asset Management, it offers clients money market and liquidity products over a diverse array of currencies, strategies and jurisdictions with a total of $543 billion in assets under management (as of 12/31/2011). JPMAM Global Liquidity Fund Management team manages a range of triple-A money market funds and short maturity funds across multiple currencies and over 500bn in assets.
Due to an increase in work flow, we are looking for an Analyst to work in the Global Liquidity Fund Management team based in Hong Kong.
The successful candidate will assist the existing team of Fund Managers and Client Portfolio Managers (CPM) globally.
- Provide high quality and timely serviceto our existing clients and internal partners relating to their funds and portfolios
- Create and maintain weekly and monthly fund reports, statistics and information on fund positions and economic data
- Work closely with Asian Liquidity sales team to understand the local fund industry trends, formulate marketing messages and develop new product pitches
- Liaise with global Liquidity CPM team on presentation and process packs, new product enquiries and common marketing strategies.
- Assist with day-to-day management and monitoring of the Asian liquidity funds and other fixed income funds.
- Assist with strategy generation, input and execution trade tickets
- Review and attribute fund performance and risk
- Work with our Chinese JV partner - CIFM, to assist in monitoring and oversight of Chinese onshore liquidity fund business
Skills
- Holder of a good University degree, preferably in Finance, Economics or related subject. CFA candidate is desirable.
- Around 2 years of relevant experience
- Highly fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken. Fluency in Japanese (oral and written) would be an advantage
- Detail oriented, numerate, intellectually rigorous with dedication to accuracy, timeliness, and high productivity while working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Team player with strong work ethic and positive working attitude, combined with the ability to work on own initiative
- Strong computer skills - Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Some knowledge in VBA and Bloomberg is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to deal with colleagues at all levels
