Analyst; FX Risk Management recruitment
AIG's FX Risk Management group has a mandate to identify, measure, and manage foreign currency exposures for over 100 global branches and subsidiaries of AIG, Inc.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Develop Risk Management strategies and solutions, including the use of asset/liability management and derivatives.
* Compile balance sheet data and forecasted cash flows in original currency from global businesses in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
* Liaise with AIG Business Units including Tax, Capital Management, Capital Markets, Accounting, Legal, and Subsidiary local management, in order to develop Risk Management strategies.
* Monitor foreign currency markets and conduct company, industry, and market research using various online tools including Bloomberg.
* Build and maintain financial models that analyze operating company economic and accounting sensitivities to changes in market conditions.
* Perform stress testing, including a Value-at-Risk analysis.
* Provide regular reports to senior management to reflect exposures and recommendations.
* Analyze balance sheet components in original, functional and reporting currency.
* Manage policy documents, ISDA agreements, accounting compliance documentation, and other legal/regulatory agreements to ensure hedge program meets company requirements.
* Attend and present findings at Investment Committee meetings, Asset Liability Committee Meetings and other Risk-based committee meetings
* Participate in strategic Treasury initiatives including implementation of Treasury workstation.
* Participate in other areas of Treasury such as liquidity risk management and bank relations.
* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics; Spring 2012 graduates will be considered
* Proficiency in MS Excel
* Proficiency in MS PowerPoint
* A sound foundation in either or both of the following areas:
- Finance - an understanding of basic finance concepts
- Accounting - an understanding of how consolidated financial statements are prepared
* Strong presentation skills
* Strong analytical skills
