FX Intraday Settlement Monitoring
Responsibilities
Daily Duties required:
The following functions will be performed within the global GFX Operations team which is a 24hr operational model. The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to learn all aspects of the team's responsibilities and there is an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to cross train, and cover all functions, including:
- Daily liaison with our internal and external correspondent banks, external clients and various internal lines of business to monitor and report cash activity.
- Daily liaison with Credit department to discuss clearing activity and clearing liquidity.
- Intra day and end of day reporting of settlement risk to internal business partners and senior management.
- Operational representative to manage any credit related events, collation, escalation and global coordination.
Requirements
- Degree/A level educated.
- Must possess strong IT application skills along with the ability to learn new systems.
- Exposure and/or demonstrated interest in financial markets.
- Experience of an Operational environment.
- A strong sense of 'team' is essential as is an enthusiastic work style.
- Analytical thinker who can show they are someone who takes ownership for problems, and offers solutions.
- Numerate, and articulate and confident as the role requires extensive communication with business partners, and clients.
- Be able to work on own initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills are required with the ability to prioritise daily workload working accurately and efficiently under pressure.
- Successful candidates will be results orientated and enjoy working in a pressurised environment.
