Analyst II

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the month end close, monthly forecast and annual budget of Fixed Rent, Subtenant Income, Percentage Rent, Common Area Maintenance and Merchant Association Dues for 7,500+ stores. This position is also responsible for variance analysis and preparing monthly reporting packages.

Job Description:

• Perform month end financial analysis and forecast/budget development for Fixed Rent, Subtenant Income, Percentage Rent, Common Area Maintenance and Merchant Association Dues.
• Develop and maintain financial models to analyze and evaluate expense variances to budget, prepare current and year end forecasts and work across departments to produce thorough and consistent analytics.
• Perform timely and thorough store PL variance analysis.
• Produce timely reporting, with continuous focus on process improvements and overall efficiencies, working closely with team members to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and analysis.
• Develop customized reporting and analysis to support ad hoc requests, transforming financial data into actionable information.
• Prepare presentations for Senior Management.
• Support department projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree, with concentration in Accounting or Finance or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years related financial experience in a retail environment.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial principles, experience with lease structures preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to produce accurate and effective results.
• Excellent PC skills, including extensive knowledge of Excel and Access.
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate across many levels of the organization.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring flexibility in order to meet deadlines and support team goals.
