To support the growth of AustralianSuper’s direct investment strategy we are seeking an Infrastructure Analyst who will work within the infrastructure investments team to assist in transactions and ongoing portfolio management. A key part of the role will be developing and testing financial models for potential acquisitions. The role will also require being part of small transaction teams and assisting in other transactional elements such as monitoring the assets within the infrastructure portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Investment Manager this role represents an outstanding opportunity to help develop and evolve our direct investment model.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Analysing infrastructure investments through examining and testing the financial models
- Being part of a broader transaction team and assisting in general infrastructure transaction activities (broader due diligence)
- Analysing and reporting investment performance within portfolios and for specific assets within them.
- Developing relevant models to analyse expected future investments performance. Providing analytical support to the Portfolio Heads in the development and implementation of the Portfolio Strategies.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong excel skills and the ability to test and examine financial models
- An understanding of Infrastructure investments, either equity or debt.
- Preferably experience within a fund management or investment banking environment.
- A strong attention to detail and ability to challenge.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities.
- An ability to think outside the box to deliver value.
- A hands on and operational approach.
