Reporting to the Senior Manager Investment Analytics, the Analyst is responsible for (but not limited to):
- Supporting the delivery of high quality investment and product performance reporting
- Monitoring of market risk limits and investment constraints and;
- Providing support of the execution of ad hoc and recurring investment transactions.
The team is a performance monitoring and reporting "Centre of Excellence" to service the investment and product performance reporting needs of stakeholders, Boards and management committees. This includes building sound working relationships with internal customers (i.e. Investments, Product Management, Actuarial, Finance and Risk Management) to facilitate provision of investment and product performance reporting.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A degree in commerce, law, finance, economics, accounting or mathematics
- Work experience in funds management or insurance industry
- A sound knowledge and interest in investment markets
- An understanding of the regulatory environment for superannuation and life insurance.
- An understanding of risks associated with investment management and administration
- Excellent written communication skills and being highly numerate is an advantage
- The ability to prioritise and to manage to a defined timeline
- Experience identifying operational risks (specifically regarding data integrity)
