Analyst Temporary Assignment- 4 months:
We are a regional investment and advisory firm made up of four strategic business divisions covering investment banking, private equity, asset management and principal investments including real estate.
Having a regional focus we provide a wide range of investment advisory and investment fund management services to a substantial client base which includes listed and unlisted companies, financial and government institutions as well as high net worth individuals. Over the last 15 years we have been successful in positioning ourselves amongst the region’s most trusted and reputed financial institutions.
Specifically our investment banking unit has successfully conducted a range of assignments including IPOs, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, valuations, privatizations, restructurings, feasibility studies and balance sheet optimizations.
Position Requirements:
• Candidate must have a successful academic track record at a highly reputed business school, preferably with a corporate finance emphasis
• Candidate must have worked and / or interned in a top-tiered investment bank and have previous exposure to excel financial modeling.
• The ideal candidate will have a successful academic track record at a highly reputed international business school preferably with a corporate finance emphasis and have worked in a top-tiered investment bank. Other attributes include superior analytical skills, good inter-personal skills, flexibility, adaptability, team orientation and knowledge of Arabic.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Performing research and industry (or case) analysis as required on projects assigned.
Developing financial models and feasibility studies, performing financial analysis, developing business models, presentations and various materials (such as prospectuses, information memoranda, etc.).
Valuations of companies (including those publicly listed and closely held), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, traded and transaction comparable analysis.
Assigned to project teams and reporting to the Team/Project Leader(s) as well as to the VP and Managing Director of the Investment Banking Division.
Participating in transaction structuring. Liaising and coordinating with various internal departments e.g. legal as well as regulatory authorities, external law firms and consultants as required.
Arranging, coordinating and participating in marketing transactions.
Performance of financial, legal and commercial due diligence, as well as managing / coordinating the due diligence process in case of appointment of external consultant(s).
Identification of potential projects, target companies and products.
Assisting in the identification of potential counterparties / investors.
Keeps abreast of developments/knowledge and trends in respective field, by reviewing/researching via internet, professional publications, media, attending exhibitions/conferences as necessary.
