Data Management and Control (DMAC) team is located within the TIAA-CREF Asset Management group. We are responsible for various data functions and tasks associated with supporting Investment Management's investment teams and other internal clients. The team owns Eagle Pace and we feed multiple down-stream systems. Members of the team undertake a high degree of interaction with colleagues from across the organization such as other Middle Office Groups, Accounting Operations, Fund Accounting, Investment Teams, Marketing and IT within the New York, Charlotte and San Francisco offices.
Database knowledge and experience is required for this position; exposure to multi facet projects is a plus. The successful candidate will initially learn the full daily data production workflow and work with colleagues to ensure that all tasks and queries are completed accurately and efficiently. This will give them an understanding of the team's data flows, systems and interactions with others that in turn will allow participation in the many projects the team undertakes. The ability to follow instruction while also showing initiative in working towards project goals is essential. Demonstration of project management skills and an understanding of systemic data are prerequisites. The candidate should also be comfortable handling large amounts of data and liaising with colleagues at all levels across the business. Attention to detail is very important as we often work with data that both internal and external customers rely on.
Qualifications
Skills Required

Experience with Eagle STAR/PACE or similar investment management technology such as PORTIA, Advent or PAM is required.
- Strong knowledge of Security types (such as Fixed Income, Equities, Options, Credit Default Swaps, Credit Default Exchange) is required.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.

Ability to work a rotating schedule is required

Bachelors degree preferred.

- Previous experience working in a Middle Office team or Corporate Actions team is preferred.
