Nielsen is the leading global information and measurement company, providing clients with the most complete understanding of their consumers and markets worldwide.  We have a global platform with presence in more than 100 countries.

Nielsen delivers mission-critical, strategic and proprietary information and insights to clients through two segments:

·        What consumers Watch (media audience measurement and analytics)

·        What consumers Buy (consumer purchasing measurement and analytics)

On the Watch side, Nielsen measures TV, online, and mobile behavior.  On the Buy side, Nielsen measures who consumers are, what consumers are buying, where consumers are buying, and why consumers are buying what they buy.  The combination of our media and consumer purchasing measurement enable us to provide an unprecedented look at consumer behavior that no other company in the world can offer.

Our focus is to get our clients closer to the consumer, enable better business decisions, and deliver deeper insights to our clients.  Nielsen is serving 90% of the Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods companies advising them on strategic issues such as

         Uncovering new growth opportunities

Linking marketing spending to consumer behavior

         Optimizing on-shelf assortments

Defining the right consumer engagement and social media strategy

         Connecting demand and supply chains

In an effort to continuously build new capabilities and serve clients on new business issues, Nielsen has acquired The Cambridge Group, a leading growth strategy consulting firm, launched NM Incite, a joint venture with McKinsey Company, and entered strategic partnership with Facebook.
