For our office in Central Frankfurt we are seeking an
Analyst Loan Underwriting (m/f)
to join our Underwriting Team in Europe to support the Lone Star Funds with acquisition of distressed loan investments with focus on residential and retail portfolios.
The Role:
- Assist Lone Star in the due diligence and valuation process of mainly residential and retail loan portfolios
- Organize and monitor due diligence of the loan portfolios or deals in coordination with Lone Star and other Hudson Advisors underwriting teams, Real Estate and Legal Departments
- Detailed modelling of potential acquisitions
- Prepare presentations to the investment committee
Qualifications:
- Strong university degree, ideally in economics
- Professional experience in a leading financial institution, private equity or real estate group
- Experience in either unsecured or residential mortgages in Spain, United Kingdom or other European countries, expert knowledge of all aspects of loan underwriting
- Outstanding econometric skills, including an exceptional ability to build and run financial and statistical models and perform detailed financial analysis
- Excellent analytical skills and understanding of statistical approach of risk/portfolio analysis
- First-rate relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills, excellent prioritization and organizational skills combined with the ability to work autonomously, and to manage all stages within a transaction deal cycle involving internal and external advisors
- An outstanding attitude, with drive and a desire to succeed
- Fluent in English and Spanish, additional German language skills will be considered as a plus
