Analyst, Mortgage Asset Management recruitment
Position Summary:
The Analyst supports the asset management team by running the financial models used to manage residential mortgage assets. The Analyst will:
• Run financial models; Execute cash flow model and scenario analyses
• Conduct asset level analysis and track daily performance
• Unwind, synthesize and repackage information in meaningful ways
• Use financial analysis to develop recommendations on a loan by loan basis and identify asset management strategies
• Communicate with the mortgage servicer to track loss mitigation campaigns and report on loan servicer activity across portfolio initiatives
• Draft monthly reports and metrics and communicate those to the asset management team
Education and Experience Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
• 2-3 years experience with mortgage loans, preferably with an investment bank or private equity firm
• Mortgage servicing experience a must
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office a must
• Workout experience a plus
• SQL and/or VBA experience a plus
