Analyst, Real Estate Private Equity recruitment
We are seeking an Analyst to support the team in the research, analysis and execution of new investments. The Analyst will be expected to take on significant responsibility from the start and have the unique opportunity to work directly with the Co-Founding Partners, other team members and key market participants, including joint venture partners, investment bankers, brokers, and commercial lenders.
As an Analyst you will focus primarily on the evaluation and execution of potential real estate acquisitions, including equity and debt investments ranging from asset purchases to corporate situations across all sectors of real estate. Specific responsibilities include:
- modelling complex cash flows and partnership structures to assess risk and return;
- visiting real estate assets, companies and potential partners;
- researching real estate markets as well as public equity and debt opportunities;
- preparing presentation materials to support the partners on new business development and sourcing;
- assessing tenants, industries and macroeconomic variables;
- maintaining proprietary databases of relevant transactions and companies;
- participating in the many facets of bringing a deal to funding, including presentation to investment committee and procuring of third-party debt; and
- assisting with asset management, including business plan development and exit strategy planning and execution.
Skills and Experience
Individuals will have a top academic background and at least one year of experience in real estate, investment banking or finance. Superior analytical, quantitative and technical skills, including proficiency in financial modelling, are required. We seek team-players, who feel comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment and are self motivated, energetic and passionate about real estate. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
