Eastspring Investments is a leading asset manager in Asia, with approximately US$80bn of AUM. We have operations that span ten markets, with investment teams in eight countries, including our Singapore regional hub. Our Asia-based investment teams manage assets across a broad range of investment strategies for both Asian and non-Asian institutions. In February 2012, we rebranded the Singapore office of our Asian asset management business from Prudential Asset Management (Singapore) Limited to Eastspring Investments (Singapore) Limited. The name Eastspring Investments has created a single, unified brand that will allow our Institutional Business to expand beyond Asia, while remaining a proud member of the Prudential plc (UK) family.

THE ROLE:
The candidate will be joining a professional and dynamic investment team. As a country specialist, the candidate will provide close support to the Singapore Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and the Asia-Pacific ex-Japan equities team on Singapore equity investment ideas. The candidate may also assist in the management of selected Singapore and Vietnam funds.

This is an important role with a number of key responsibilities, including:
• Generate investment ideas through proprietary research.
• Conduct regular company visits and management meetings.
• Perform in-depth industry and company research and analysis.
• Assist the Singapore CIO and Asia-Pacific ex-Japan team on stock selection in the Singapore market.
• Support the Singapore CIO in the smooth running of the Singapore equity business through ad-hoc projects.

THE CANDIDATE:
The candidate should be a self-starter with a deep passion for fundamental stock research and investment analysis. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment are essential.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
• Relevant equities background, ideally gained in a long-only buy-side firm, with a minimum of 2- 3 years experience.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors or Masters’ degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Preferably a CFA charter holder.
